Third Annual Jazz and Pop Harp Festival | |

Each concert is free of charge and open to the public. There is no registration. The faculty concerts are part of the third annual New Orleans Jazz and Pop Harp Weekend in which harpists from all over the world attend master classes, as well as sessions for beginners and those who are curious about harp playing. The one-hour concerts will occur: 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. on Friday, June 16. The performance features faculty for the festival as well as harp students. 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 17. The performers are Patrice Fisher, a Latin Jazz harpist who lives and teaches in New Orleans, and Martha Gallagher, a Jazz/Pop lever harpist who is referred to as the Adirondack harpist. 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 18. The performers are Luke Brechtelsbauer, a New Orleans eclectic harpist, Rachel Van Voorhees, the principal harpist of the Louisiana Philharmonic, and Becca Babin, professional harpist and music teacher who lives in Baton Rouge.
