MCC is a 501 (c)(3), privately funded, citizens’ organization dedicated to exposing public corruption and improving the administration of justice in order to improve the quality of life for all citizens. The organization’s goal is to fight crime and corruption in the metropolitan area with a strategy of investigating wrongdoing, being a conduit for citizens to report information, supporting legislative initiatives, and by bringing accountability and transparency to the criminal justice system through research. The New Orleans Secular Humanist Association is dedicated to raising the awareness of people of the Gulf Coast region to the ideals and values of secular humanism. The group is an affiliate of the Council for Secular Humanism, an associate of the American Humanist Association, an affiliate of American Atheists, and a member of the Atheist Alliance International.
