ISACA Computer Group: Understanding Cyber and Information Risks to Your Business

Event Type: Adults
Age Group(s): Adults
Date: 5/11/2017
Start Time: 4:30 PM
End Time: 5:30 PM
Description:
The potential for a cyber event to affect one’s business is real and potentially more devastating than commonly insured business risks. The information used to run businesses has become more vulnerable as technology progresses. In the absence of clearly defined threats such as weather and crime, the real value of one’s business information is not realized until one becomes a victim. This presentation will explore the nature of these risks and explore potential responses, in the context of a comprehensive insurance and risk management strategy for business.

The speaker is Bradley Nolan, an insurance producer at Donnaway Insurance Inc. in Metairie, where he provides risk management and insurance counsel to commercial customers, regionally and nationally. He also provides consultative risk management and insurance advice to fee-based clients.

Nolan is a native of New Orleans. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems in 2002 and also earned a Professional Diploma in Risk and Insurance from the College of Insurance in New York, now part of St. John’s University. He has worked at various insurers with roles in underwriting, claims and IT support. Nolan returned to New Orleans in 2004 to serve the risk and insurance needs of commercial clients.
