 Ricardo Mesa, the IT Network Supervisor for the Jefferson Parish Library, will present “Windows Penetration Testing” at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 10 at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 W. Napoleon, Metairie. This presentation covers concepts, tools and techniques for conducting a penetration test. Mesa will provide computer security professionals an overview of ethical hacking concepts, penetration testing methods and how to determine the most effective penetration tool for the desired goal. Techniques and tools will be discussed for penetration testing, including information gathering, initial access, reconnaissance and enumeration, and access and persistence.

In this educational presentation, Mesa will share: organizational penetration testing; results from a cybersecurity assessment engagement with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS); and types of penetration testing.

Ricardo Mesa is the IT Network Supervisor for the Jefferson Parish Library which means he is responsible for the Network and Server infrastructure at 17 library locations in Jefferson Parish. He is a Visionary Information Technology leader with more than 25 years of hands-on experience and 16 years local and federal government experience in network management, administration and telecommunications infrastructure.
