 The Jefferson Parish Library presents “Financial Strategies for Successful Retirement,” a course that occurs on three consecutive Wednesday nights in May at the West Bank Regional Library, 2751 Manhattan, Harvey.

The classes will occur at:
• 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 17
• 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 24
• 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 31

The presentation is free of charge and open to the public. There is no registration.

The course will cover the following material:
• How can I plan for a comfortable retirement?
• Can I retire early?
• How can I manage my tax liability?
• Are there ways to potentially reduce my exposure to financial risk?
• How can I use stocks, mutual funds, bonds, and other investment vehicles?
• How can I provide for my heirs?

This course will be relevant for those who are nearing retirement, already retired, or beginning to develop retirement plans. The course material will help participants assess their current situations and develop personalized plans to pursue retirement goals.

The instructor is Brian Low, a registered representative with Broker Dealer Financial Services.
