|
|
Event Type: Adults Age Group(s): Adults Date: 6/15/2017 Start Time: 7:00 PM End Time: 8:30 PM Description: Reiki is a spiritual practice begun in Japan and dating from the early 1900s that supports healing and personal development. It is often a life-changing experience, utilizing pure spiritual universal energy to balance and allow for the healing of body, mind, and spirit. This free talk will be of interest to those interested in learning about Reiki and also already confirmed Reikis who want to explore the original applications of this Japanese lineage that dates from the epoch of its founder, Usui Sensei. The emphasis in this lineage is on daily spiritual growth and less on the healing modality therein. Non-dogmatic in approach and not new agey. Patrons will also take part in practicing some of the meditations and exercises (seated), drawn from Shinto, Tendai Buddhism, and Qi qong.
