College Night at the Library is coordinated by Carol Langston, PhD, Director of College Guidance at Metairie Park Country Day School. She is the owner of Langston Educational Consulting. Langston has served as a College Board essay consultant, an AP Spanish reader, and has authored a chapter in a college counseling textbook that is used to certify counselors as college counselors.

“I think students have to know that even if they are not interested in the colleges on the panel, they should attend,” she said. “The panel is going to continue to change. The colleges represent types of colleges: large, medium, small, city, suburban, rural, and they vary in selectivity, and offer different scholarships and programs of study. They can then decide which type of college is a good fit.”
