Genealogy Class - Genealogy and Google

 Gwen Kelley, a librarian who specializes in genealogy and local history, will lead a seminar that focuses on genealogy and Google for family researchers, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 W. Napoleon, Metairie.

This event is free of charge and is open to the public. There is no registration.

Many genealogists use Google for genealogy internet and surname queries. Not only does Google produce accurate and relevant search results, it is extraordinarily fast and flexible.

However, Google has evolved since it was created in 1999 and the tips and tricks have changed and evolved also. During this presentation, Kelley will discuss tips and strategies to search for relatives using Google.
