BJ Bourg is a 27-year veteran of law enforcement, having spent the vast majority of his years investigating felony cases for a local sheriff’s office and district attorney’s office. He is the former leader of a police sniper team, a former police academy instructor, and a former professional boxer. He is the author of 11 mystery novels, one of which won the 2016 EPIC eBook Award for Best Mystery, and more than 185 of his short stories and articles have appeared in dozens of places, including Woman’s World, Boy’ Life, and Writer’s Digest. Amanda Bourg, PhD, is a psychologist at a rural outpatient clinic for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Louisiana. She received her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from Oklahoma State University and a post-doctoral master’s degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology from Alliant International University. Dr. Bourg has extensive experience treating people who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and depression, and one of her research articles was published in the 2006 Journal of Aggression, Maltreatment, and Trauma. Monthly meeting of the local chapter of Sisters in Crime. The group's mission is to promote the ongoing advancement, recognition and professional development of women crime writers.
