“Outsider Minds: The Molecular Origins of Diversity in the Human Brain and How Diverse Minds Navigate Modern Society” is the topic of the next meeting of the New Orleans Secular Humanist Association. Earls, PhD, assistant professor of Cell and Molecular Biology at the Tulane Brain Institute. According to Earls, the human brain is genetically pre-programmed for diversity. The result is a highly variable population consisting of individuals with a broad range of gifts and adversities.

The New Orleans Secular Humanist Association is dedicated to raising the awareness of people of the Gulf Coast region to the ideals and values of secular humanism.
