It occurs at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20 at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 W. Napoleon, Metairie. The speaker is Laurie R. Earls, PhD, assistant professor of Cell and Molecular Biology at the Tulane Brain Institute. According to Earls, the human brain is genetically pre-programmed for diversity. The result is a highly variable population consisting of individuals with a broad range of gifts and adversities.
