Date: 1/10/2018
Start Time: 7:00 PM

Description:
Rick Landry, PhD, a psychologist, clinical hypnotherapist, motivational speaker and counselor in New Orleans, will discuss the concept of “self-education” at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 W. Napoleon, Metairie.

This event is free of charge and is open to the public. There is no registration.

According to Dr. Landry, it is possible for man to educate himself without help or support from others. When people learn the art of self-education (learning how to learn versus how to be taught), they will find they create new opportunities for themselves.

He says that self-educated people are not dependent on others for knowledge. People who want someone to show them the way may never get started. Dependency on self to develop skills is a powerful still in itself. This is the tool of super achievers.

“It has been said for centuries and means more now than ever before,” he says.” A formal education will earn you a living, but a self-education will earn you a fortune.”

During the past 30 years, Dr. Landry has concentrated his efforts promoting “healing, by using and understanding the laws of the mind.” He says that by focusing on the thought process and its relationship with the subconscious level of the mind, results are accelerated.

Dr. Landry is a member of the International Association of Counselors and Therapists. He is a member and president of the Louisiana Hypnotherapy Organization.
