Date: 3/6/2018
Start Time: 7:00 PM
End Time: 8:30 PM
Description:
Elizabeth Gambel, a nutrition agent with the LSU AgCenter – Southeast Region, will present “Take Charge of Your Health: Keeping Your Medical Records in Order,” at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 W. Napoleon, Metairie.

This event is free of charge and is open to the public. There is no registration.

Personal medical records are a compilation of all medical information, including test results, treatment reports, and notes written by the health care team. While each office and facility keeps a record of care, it’s important to have a complete file for one’s own use, so it can be shared with a new doctor, can be reviewed at home to better understand treatment, or manage health insurance claims, taxes, and other legal matters.

During the presentation, Gambel will discuss the following:
• Medications
• Doctors
• Insurance
• Advanced Directives
