This event is free of charge and is open to the public. There is no registration. Personal medical records are a compilation of all medical information, including test results, treatment reports, and notes written by the health care team. While each office and facility keeps a record of care, it’s important to have a complete file for one’s own use, so it can be shared with a new doctor, can be reviewed at home to better understand treatment, or manage health insurance claims, taxes, and other legal matters. During the presentation, Gambel will discuss the following: • Medications • Doctors • Insurance • Advanced Directives For more information regarding this presentation, contact Chris Smith, Manager of Adult Programming for the library, at (504) 889-8143 or wcsmith@jefferson.lib.la.us.
