Patrick O’Connor, an internationally known hybridizer, and Eileen Hollander, president of the Greater New Orleans Iris Society, will talk about the five Louisiana iris species. They will also discuss local renovation and preservation projects for local iris species. They’ll talk about the upcoming meeting of the American Iris Society that occurs in Metairie in May. The national association is holding its meeting here in honor of the city’s tricentennial.
