Description:
 Participants view “Akira,” a 1988 Japanese animated, post-apocalyptic science fiction film. Set in a dystopian 2019, it tells the story of Shôtarô Kaneda, a leader of a local biker gang whose childhood friend, Tetsuo Shima, acquires incredible telekinetic abilities after a motorcycle accident.

The library’s SciFi and Fantasy Group meets on the last Wednesday of each month to discuss a book or screen a movie with a science fiction or fantasy theme.
