This event is free of charge and is open to the public. Timmerman will focus on: Choosing a location for a citrus tree, how to select a citrus tree, fertilizer, soil management, pest control, pruning and other issues. She will also discuss dwarf trees as well as growing citrus in containers. She will be available after the presentation to answer individual questions. Anna Timmerman is the LSU AgCenter Agent in Jefferson Parish. She has worked in the horticulture industry for fifteen years in a variety of applications, including greenhouses, residential landscaping, urban farming, and large-scale organic market gardening. She is currently pursuing her masters degree in horticulture at LSU.
