 Jason Comboy will discuss “Lost Settlements of Southeast Louisiana,” at 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 24 at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 W. Napoleon Ave., Metairie.

During the presentation, Comboy will discuss lost villages, encampments and outposts that he says have nearly vanished from the map and memory.

Comboy’s presentation occurs as part of the regularly scheduled meeting of the Jefferson Parish Historical Society. It is free of charge and is open to the public. There is no registration.

Comboy holds a master’s degree in preservation studies from the Tulane School of Architecture as well as a master’s degree in business administration from the University of New Orleans. His professional focus centers on the issues of planning, permitting and usage that affect emerging businesses trying to navigate municipal regulations. He consults with an emphasis on protecting and revitalizing the historic fabric of neighborhoods while helping entrepreneurs initiate the start-up process.

Monthly meeting of the group that celebrates the history and culture of Jefferson Parish. Free of charge and open to the public. No registration.
