This event is free of charge and is open to the public. There is no registration. FamilySearch is a genealogy organization operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was previously known as the Genealogical Society of Utah. FamilySearch maintains a collection of records, resources, and services designed to help people learn more about their family history. FamilySearch gathers, preserves and shares genealogical records worldwide. It offers free access to its resources and service online at FamilySearch.org. In addition, FamilySearch offers personal assistance at more than 4,500 family history centers in 70 countries, including the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. FamilySearch is a free online resource. Genealogists can search millions of digitized and indexed records from around the world. Some results point to offsite sources for digitized records. Users can tap into the Learn tab for keyword-searchable articles and online courses. The Catalog tab takes searchers to one of the most extensive genealogy library catalog in the world. Genealogists can share their family tree at the bottom of the home page.
