Library: River Ridge LibraryBeneath the Weight is a free program that was developed by a psychologist and a nutritionist. The program approaches weight-management from the perspective of what is happening in one’s mind when overeating. The program is a people-to-people program with participants supporting and helping each other. No products or services are used—just your mind, which is the key to weight-management. In Part 2, participants use group discussion to uncover mindfulness that already exists within each of us. Participants also focus on discovering their mental obstacles that are in the way of healthy weight-management. Last, participants help each other to create ways to remove those obstacles.
