Want to dress like a knight for the parade- or any other time? Join Antoinette de Alteriis, Krewe de Jeanne d’Arc costume director and president of the Gulf Coast International Costumers Guild, and other guest designers and crafters for a group class on how to achieve your perfect knight. They will draw on the Versace’s Zendaya style dress and other DIY knight examples. This event is bring-your-own supplies, though the first session will focus on material recommendations and a supply list will be available. Sessions are every fourth Saturday from March through August and a fashion show will be held in September. Email Antoinette at hostessforhirenola@gmail.com to register and to receive a supply list.

Want to dress like a medieval lord or lady for a parade or party? Join Antoinette de Alteriis, Krewe de Jeanne d’Arc costume director and president of the Gulf Coast International Costumers Guild, for a group class on how to achieve perfect medieval clothing. While the focus is Lords and Ladies, this seminar will cover peasant and working class garb as well. This presentation focuses two resource books: The Medieval Tailor’s Assistant and Medieval Costume and How to Recreate It.
