This event is free of charge and is open to the public. Nancy Gianni is the founder and chief belief officer of GiGi’s Playhouses, which are Down syndrome achievement centers. There are 36 GiGi’s Playhouse locations in the United States and Mexico, and plans to open 200 more worldwide. Gianni gave birth to her fourth child, GiGi, in 2002. She says that after receiving the Down syndrome diagnosis, her fears, coupled with the negative reactions of the medical staff, made her believe that her life as she knew it was over. In GenerationG, Gianni shares details of how she learned to tap into her inner strength and rise above negativity, preconceptions, and the unfiltered views of outside observers. She says her goal is to gently remind people that it is possible to make a conscious decision to be better every day at loving everyone.
