Financial Expert Chris Doucet Discusses “Managing Finances While Job Hunting”

 Chris Doucet, founder of Doucet Asset Management, will discuss “Managing Finances While Job Hunting” at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 W. Napoleon, Metairie.

This event is free of charge and is open to the public. There is no registration.

Doucet says that one’s credit, how one manage money, and one’s ability to job hunt effectively go hand in hand. He will talk about the importance and potential impact of one’s finances in the job search. He will provide practical advice about financial activity during a time when money is tight.

Doucet began his financial career as an assistant municipal bond trader on Wall Street in 1987. Throughout his career, he has had experience in all aspects of the financial services industry including both equity and bond trading, portfolio management, institutional and retail brokerage, equity and fixed income research, and investment banking.

He graduated from McNeese State University and attended Tulane University Law School. He has been involved in many business endeavors including executive producer of the gold record single “New Age Girl,” Godfather of Tribe Magazine, CEO of several other companies and has served on the Boards of more than 20 companies and charities, both public and private.
