This is a second-level course designed for those who have used a mouse before. It picks up where the MINDS course ends. Next Steps is better suited for learners who have used a computer a little and want to learn more. If you want an overview of basic computer skills that covers using a few applications, moving between windows, and working with folders, then this course is for you. Next Steps spends more time on types of applications, how to start different programs, and how to move between windows. Next Steps also covers how to create folders and manage work in Windows File Explorer. Please view the linked handout below and think about whether you are ready for this course. If you need a slower paced course that lets you practice using a mouse longer and gives you more opportunities to get individual help from the trainer, then please try the new MINDS in Beginner Computer Skills course first. Location: East Bank Regional Learning Center Registration Ends: 5/17/2021 at 12:00 PM Other Information: Due to COVID-19 measures, seating for all computer courses is limited. Please register in advance, and please cancel your registration if you cannot attend.
