Rebecca Hale, Tips from a Talent Agent

Tips from a Talent Agent is Hale’s second book. It’s a step-by-step guide that walks readers through all aspects of show business. It takes readers through the information needed to ensure that one’s career as an actor is complete with solid, insider advice, and professionalism.

Rebecca Hale owns and operates Hale Talent which represents actors, singers and musicians of all ages, from infants to golden-agers, in commercials (local, regional, national, and international), feature films, television, music videos, educational videos, and print work. Some of the many projects in which actors from Hale Talent appear include: The Butler, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button; NCIS: New Orleans; Scream Queens, Treme; and print and TV ads for Kraft Lunchables; Jimmy Dean, Blue Cross/Blue Shield

Hale taught theatre for years in the Jefferson Parish Talent/Theatre Program. She also offers acting workshops throughout the year. Hale received a doctoral degree in Educational Theatre from New York University in 2002. Her book, The Soul of the City: Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre of New Orleans, which is based on her dissertation, has been published by Rock Press.

Laura Cayouette, Know Small Parts, An Actor’s Guide to Turning Minutes into Moments and Moments into a Career

Laura Cayouette has been a working actor for 25 years. Best known as Leonardo DiCaprio’s sister in Django Unchained, Cayouette has acted in more than 60 movies and TV shows including Kill Bill, Now You See Me, True Detective, Friends and recurring roles on Treme, Hot Date and Queen Sugar.

Cayouette has authored seven books, including Know Small Parts: An Actor's Guide to Turning Minutes into Moments and Moments into a Career with foreword by Richard Dreyfuss and endorsements from Kevin Costner, from Kevin Costner, Lou Diamond Phillips, Reginald Hudlin and others. Her Charlotte Reade Mysteries are a love letter to New Orleans culture and lifestyle. She is also the author of Lemonade Farm, a coming-of-age novel set in a commune in rural Maryland in 1976.

Cayouette earned a master's degree in creative writing and English literature at the University of South Alabama where she was presented the 2014 Distinguished Alumni Award. She taught English and acting/directing at various universities and film schools from New York to Los Angeles.
