MINDS in Basic Computer Skills is ideally suited for senior citizens who have not used a computer before or job seekers who need the very basics before moving forward. The first 45 minutes of class concentrates on mousing exercises. Participants will learn how to left click, right, click, scroll, drag digital objects from one place to another, and how to visit a website. The MINDS course also covers how to change contrast settings and enlarge type on a Windows 10 computer. Changing accessibility settings can help users see computer screens better. Since the MINDS course emphasizes digital self-sufficiency, it encourages not only practice using a computer in class but also introduces participants to online learning so they can strengthen their computer skills at home. Location: East Bank Regional Learning Center Registration Ends: 8/10/2021 at 12:00 AM Other Information: Seating is limited due to COVID-19. If you register and cannot attend, please kindly cancel your reservation before the day of class.
