Event Type: JP Library Event Age Group(s): Adults Date: 10/11/2023 Start Time: 6:30 PM End Time: 8:00 PM Description: Phyllis Lawton Cosentino, a genealogy instructor in the People Program for many years, will lead a presentation titled "Can DNA help you climb over your brick walls?" at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 11, at the Old Metairie Library, 2350 Metairie Road. The theory is that despite the best research efforts, it seems impossible to locate that elusive ancestor in any records. That’s where DNA comes in. It’s a powerful tool that can help break through the brick walls in order to find ancestors on the other side.
