This event is free of charge and open to the public. There is no registration. 9:30 a.m., Saturday, May 18 Erica Welter – “A Beginner’s Guide to Building a Website” The first half of this Writers' Clinic will focus on everything you need to know before you begin building your author website. We’ll discuss the importance of an author website, goals and expectations, how to choose a hosting service, and basic elements of design. 11 a.m., Saturday, May 18 Erica Welter – “Building an Author Website” Bring your laptop. In the second half of this Writers' Clinic, writers will learn how to build a basic author website from scratch. Instruction will include adding basic design elements, deciding what information to include, and how to add copy and photos. Erica Welter holds a master’s degree in English with a concentration in Publishing from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. She is an author, a professional editor, and an instructor of English at Southeastern. Her poetry appears in Across the Margin and the Manchac Review.
