 Christina Rossetti is a 19th century English writer whose most famous poem "Goblin Market" still intrigues readers today. This lecture will give an overview of Rossetti's life, her talented family, and her experiences as an unmarried woman publishing under her name in the Victorian era. It will include an overview of "Goblin Market" and its possible meanings, from Christian allegory to commentary on women's roles in the family and society.
